The formal parlors are actually two rooms in one with a huge arch in the center joining them together. There exists a set of doors that were, once upon a time, fitted into the arch in the fall and removed in the spring, to afford better heat and insulation over the cold winter months. Now, underfloor hot water radiant heating assures year round comfort.
